What is the Posnack Circle of Friends
fund and why should I support it?
The Posnack Circle of Friends is the David Posnack Hebrew Day
School’s annual campaign. A range of giving levels is available.
The purpose of the Posnack Circle is to cover the school’s annual
operating deficit. Your unrestricted gift to the Posnack Circle of
Friends benefits every student in the school as it provides for the
day-to-day expenses and program enhancements that make us the fine
educational institution that we are known as throughout the
tri-county and national Jewish day school network.
You may choose to restrict your Posnack Circle of
Friends gift to the program or area of your choice/interest.

What
is Links to Learning?
Links to Learning is our annual
woman’s campaign to support technology needs at DPHDS. Members of
Links to Learning are identified by the beautiful 14 carat gold
charm bracelet they proudly wear. Charms are added yearly.
Proceeds from the sales of membership bracelets, charms and
sponsorships of our annual Links to Learning tribute pay for
technology at the school. Each year a different woman from the
community is honored for her commitment to DPHDS at a beautiful
Links to Learning luncheon.
Where happens with the proceeds from
the DPHDS Sprint for the Finish 5K & Daniel’s 1 Mile Fitness/Fun
Walk?
Every spring DPHDS parents, high school students and other
volunteers host a sanctioned 5K run for our families and the larger
running “community”. The majority of the proceeds from the 5K
benefit all DPHDS students directly as programming dollars. A
portion of the 5K monies go toward a national or local charity
chosen by the 5K committee each year. Additionally, WECARE food
pantry, which feeds the hungry in Broward County, is a beneficiary
of our 5K. Corporate Sponsorships are invited.
Daniel Cantor Wultz was a DPHDS student tragically murdered by
terrorists while vacationing in Israel with his family in 2006. All
proceeds from the Daniel’s 1 Mile Fitness/Fun Walk benefit
scholarships for DPHDS high school students attending the Alexander
Muss High School in Israel Program (AMIE), as Daniel had wished to
go but never had the opportunity. DPHDS students in all grades
participate actively in raising money for the walk.
What do my dollars designated for
Performing Arts support?
DPHDS is very proud of its Performing
Arts programs which include an annual upper school play and numerous
band and vocal concerts throughout the year. Students perform for
the entire community, entertaining their own families, the elderly
and infirm, and young children who are prospective DPHDS students.
Your support of the department directly, the Playbill, sales of
tickets, candy, etc. are all re-invested into our students’ growing
acting and musical abilities.
