play chess and grow personally through this challenging mental
sport.

PLANTATION
CAMPUS
Our
exciting Junior Drama Club meets once a week, performing
three fun shows a year. Students in K-2nd grade learn
basic acting techniques while showcasing their talents.
From painting to stitching and everything in between, K-2 students
in our Arts and Crafts program have fun making interesting
crafts and creating unique gifts for family and friends.
In
our Mime and Improvisation program, students in K-5th
grade learn the silent art of pantomime as they hone their acting
skills. Improvisation techniques teach them quick thinking and
expression.
Plantation Campus also features a
Choir
for grades 3 through 5, where students work together to improve
breathing, vocal techniques, and tone quality. Blending their voices
in unison and harmony, creating beautiful music in many genres
including classical, Israeli, Broadway, Yiddish and Ladino, the
students learn a repertoire which prepares them to perform at varied
school and community events.
In
our Drama Club also for grades 3 through 5, students learn
musical theatre pieces, stage presence, proper voice production for
the stage, stage movement and microphone use while preparing for an
exciting production. The students experience live theatre, using
costumes and makeup, dance routines, ensemble pieces and solos. The
drama group presents two musicals each school year.
