"A person must care for
his or her body like an artisan for his or her tools. For the body
is the instrument through which one serves one's Creator."
—R. Shem-Tov ben Joseph Falaquera
The DPHDS athletics
program is designed to provide our students with the necessary
skills and knowledge to lead healthy and active lives. Physical
education promotes fitness, teamwork and positive self-image and
represents a vital component of the overall curriculum at DPHDS. Our
comprehensive program of physical fitness, team sports, and
competitive athletics offers students important opportunities to
master new sports, gain confidence in their physical abilities and
maximize their athletic potential. These successes reinforce
students' academic accomplishments and help promote self-confidence
and lifetime fitness.
Our coaching staff
consists of trained professionals knowledgeable in all aspects of
physical fitness and expert in their respective sports. Each coach
strives to instill the skills necessary for success.
The Athletic Department
is supported by a very active Rams Booster Club. This group of
parent volunteers works tirelessly on behalf of DPHDS athletes. For
